As ourknowledge and understanding of diabetes develops, weincreasingly find that conventional classifications andframeworks are unable to encapsulate the wide spectrumof the syndrome. We propose a seven-angled rubric, toserve as a contemporary taxonomic structure for diabetescomplications. This includes not only the vascularconsequences, but sapio-metabolic, oculo-metabolic,viscero-metabolic, musculoskeletal and repro-metaboliccomplications of diabetes as well. This taxonomic structure, presented in tabular and hexagonal form, should proveuseful for all students of diabetologyKeywords: Chronic disease, complications, diabetes, type2 diabetes, vascular complications, vessel disease Downloads Full Text Article Published 2025-10-21 How to Cite Sanjay Kalra, Saptarshi Bhattacharya, & Nitin Kapoor.
