The prevalence ranges from 1 in 13,000 people to 1 in 2 million people with preponderance in Asia (1), particularly in Japan. Moreover, the presentation also varies in children and adults, and is usually vaguer and non-specific in adults. The prevalence is even lower in males, with female to male ratio being 3:1-4:1 (2). We present here three cases of adult choledochal cysts excised in our surgical unit in the last five years. We discuss the aetiopathogenesis, presentation, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and complications of choledochal cysts based on the available literature. ---Continue Author Biographies Mohammad Sohail Asghar, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan Post Graduate Resident FCPS General Surgery North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Zainab Sabir, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan House Officer General Surgery North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Balakh Sher Zaman, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan Assistant Professor General Surgery North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Sadaf Zafarullah, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan Post Graduate Resident FCPS North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Hafiz Syed Zaigham Ali Shah, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan Post Graduate Resident FCPS North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Imran Aslam, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan Associate Professor of Surgery North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Ameer Afzal, Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan Professor of Surgery North Surgery Department King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital Lahore Downloads Full Text Article Published 2023-02-15 How to Cite Mohammad Sohail Asghar, Sabir, Z. ., Zaman, B.
