Developing peripheral-sample liquid biopsytools is the key to enhancing our ability to prognosticatebrain tumour subtypes and molecular heterogeneity. Thepresent scoping review was designed to discuss currentupdates in liquid biopsy tools for diagnosis and guidingclinical management of brain tumours; we evaluated theliterature within the context of low-and-middle-incomecountry challenges. Circulating tumour cells (CTCs),circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), cell-free DNA (cfDNA),extracellular vesicle-associated biomarkers, proteinbiomarkers, microRNAs, and serum metabolites arediscussed with the collation of current data supportingtheir utility in liquid biopsy. Further challenges toimplanting liquid biopsy tools at a systematic level arehighlighted. Keywords: Tumour, DNA, Neoplastic Cells, LiquidBiopsy, Brain Neoplasms, MicroRNAs, ExtracellularVesicles Downloads Full Text Article Published 2024-06-09 How to Cite Mohammad Hamza Bajwa, Muhammad Awais Khan, Faiza Urooj, Muhammad Usman Khalid, Syed Ather Enam, Hafiza Fatima Aziz, Kaynat Siddiqui, Muhammad Ehsan Bari, & Nouman Mughal.
