JPMA is one of the three and the oldest (1975) Index Medicus listed peer reviewed medical journals published in Pakistan. It is a multi-specialty journal with articles on a wide array of subjects. As an effort to encourage research and article writing activities among undergraduates, a separate section has been dedicated to their work. Any research work or piece of writing will develop a person's intellect, improve communication skills and give one a wider exposure. These will definitely go a long way in helping one establish a successful career. Students can easily generate case reports as they spend a great proportion of their time in wards. Short communications, original researches and elective reports will add to the authors' knowledge and to that of others as well. I invite students to contribute and promote such activities. I further request all those involved in teaching and training at the undergraduate level to encourage, promote and guide their students in this regard. We, the Students' Comer team would be glad to guide you in this respect. As an intellectual put it, "Reading makes a full man, conference a ready man and writing an exact man."
