Fifteenth Annual Symposium of the Pakistan Society of Physicians, Karachi
The 15th Annual Symposium of the Pakistan Society of Physicians, Karachi (PSP) will be held in collaboration with the Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians, Pakistan (SGOP) from 18-20th February, 2000 at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Karachi. The theme of the Symposium is “Women and Health in the Next Millennium”. Last date for submission of abstracts is 3 1st January 2000. Sixteenth International Congress of Pakistan Society of Castroenterology and G.I. Endoscopy
The 16th International Congress of Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and G.1. Endoscopy will be held from 3-5 March 2000 at Pearl Continental, Peshawar. Deadline for submission of abstracts is 31st December 1999.

The American Academy of Family Physicians’ International Family Medicine Posters
The American Academy of Family Physicians is currently accepting applications for the 2000 AAFP Scientific Assembly International Family Medicine Poster Presentations. Research and topical posters will be located in the exhibit hail during this special event. The 2000
Annual Scientific Assembly will be held in Dallas, Texas from September 20-24, 2000. Participation in the International Family Medicine Poster Presentations provides a unique opportunity for family physicians to meet and exchange research interests and global experiences.
Proposals for poster presentations must be made in writing. The application should be postmarked no later than April 1, 2000. Applications will be reviewed and approved by a panel of peers. Registration fees to the Scientific Assembly will be waived for up to two (2) prinicpal authors of each approved poster. Seventh Short Intensive Course of Postgraduate Medical Institute, Hayatabad
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Postgraduate Medical Institute, Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar announces its “7th short intensive course” for Part-Il FCPS MRCOG and MCPS examinations. The course will be conducted frm Monday, 14th Februry 2000 to 2 1st Februry 2000 (both days inclusive). The daily programme will consist of state of Art lecture, Clinical presentation, table viva and examination techniques of theory and practical sessions and OSCE. Senior teachers and examiners will participate on a daily basis. Course fee is Rs. 2500/- which will entitle participants to tea/coffee and lunch.
